DALI vs 0-10V — what's the difference?

The core difference is communication. DALI is two-way and digital: each light is individually addressable, supports scenes and zoning, and reports back to the system. 0-10V is a one-way analog dimming method — it sends a simple voltage level to dim, but has no addressing, no scenes and no feedback. DALI gives you far more precise, scalable control, which is why it's the standard we build on for professional lighting control.

Does DALI stop flicker?

Yes. Because DALI dims digitally rather than by chopping the mains waveform, it avoids the flicker that phase-cut (leading/trailing-edge) dimming can cause with LED drivers — including at low brightness levels where flicker is most visible. That makes it well suited to hospitality, retail and on-camera environments where smooth, flicker-free dimming matters.

Do you support KNX too?

Yes. We lead with DALI for lighting because of its depth of control, but we integrate KNX where a project needs whole-building automation — bringing lighting together with HVAC, shading, audio and access under one system via a gateway. So you can start with DALI for the lighting and add KNX when the scope calls for it, without redoing the lighting installation.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. A local server on site keeps the lighting control running with low latency even when there's no internet connection — scenes, schedules and panel control all continue to work. Internet is only needed for remote access and updates, not for the day-to-day operation of the system.
